The Man
Who Planted Trees
Accompanied by his faithful
dog, a French shepherd sets out to plant a forest and
transform a barren landscape. Hear the wind, feel the
rain, smell the lavender in this multi-sensory theatrical
delight. A unique blend of puppetry, comedy and inspiring
storytelling.
Winner of the Eco Trusts Eco Prize 2007 for Creativity.

Craft Fair
Once again we are pleased
to welcome back our craftsmen and women who will be
selling beautiful home made gifts – great if you
are looking for something a little unusual to buy a
special person. Combine with a visit to Abertillery
and District Museum, where you will be able to view
many of the original tools used in these ancient crafts.
Our café will be open today for refreshments.

Pumpkins and Puppets
In readiness for Hallowe’en
come along to The Met today and carve a pumpkin to place

back to the Met for a ghoulish and ghostly puppet show.

Set
during the last years of New York City's celebrated High
School for the Performing Arts on 46th Street this is
a tale of a bittersweet but ultimately inspiring story
of a diverse group of students as they commit to four
years of gruelling artistic and academic work. With candour,
humour and insight, the show explores the issues that
confront many young people today. We see them coming to
terms with life and relationships: we see those who persevere,
who are resilient – and those who are not.

FFIN Dance present: Sidewind
The company is delighted
to perform the UK Premiere of this brand new show ..
a design and dance collaboration between FFIN’s
Artistic Director, Sue Lewis and designer Steve Denton.
The Dancer’s move through athletic couplings to
the breathtaking music of Spanish Gypsy vocalist Estrella
Morente. Sidewind is a programme of stunning dance,

performing contemporary and traditional acoustic Blues,
from early field holler-songs and work songs to Delta
and Piedmont Blues as well as his original works. Frutland

his presentation of music and humour .

Tea Dances
We host weekly tea dances throughout the year, where you
can perfect your skills at the waltz, foxtrot and other dances
under the guidance of our tutor, and after your exertions –
enjoy a nice cup of tea!

Belly Dancing
Please contact us if you wish to join our weekly Belly Dancing
classes, which take place on Friday evenings throughout the
year. Yoga
This cultural form of relaxation and exercise takes place
on Thursdays throughout the year. Please contact us in order
to book classes.
Dance Company in Residence
The Met are pleased to introduce our Dance Company in Residence
– FFIN Dance. Founded by Sue Lewis in 2003, the company
runs workshops to schools, colleges and community groups, as
well as performing throughout the UK.

The Met’ is pleased to be a venue for traditional
and contemporary Art exhibitions, as well as many touring exhibitions.
Exhibitions are normally open for viewing between 10.00am and
4pm Monday – Friday and are free of charge. We are delighted
